Building e2etrace from the source distribution

You must use a JDK >= 1.5 to build e2etrace.

Maven 3.x is required to build e2etrace from the source code distribution. After you've extracted the e2etrace source archive into a directory of your choice, simply invoke the build process using the following command:

mvn install

This will build the e2etrace jar-file from the source code and install it into your local Maven repository. If you use Maven to build your own applications, you can now reference e2etrace by adding the following reference to your pom.xml:

<dependency>
  <groupId>org.e2etrace</groupId>
  <artifactId>e2etrace</artifactId>
  <version>1.4.3</version>
</dependency>

If you prefer Ant or any other build tool, you'll find the generated file e2etrace-1.4.3.jar in the subdirectory target.
